Muzeum se všeobecne zabývá sberem, uchováváním a prezentací historie cokolády. Na rozdíl od jiných muzeí - sberem, uchováváním a prezentací historie cokolády a výrobcu cukrovinek hlavne v ceských zemích.
Muzeum klade duraz na sledování a uchovávání minulosti a soucasnosti ceských výrobcu a rozmanitosti jejich výrobku. Výstavy porádané muzeem prezentují ceské sberatelé a umelce, kterí pracují s cokoládou.
