Free tours can be arranged for groups larger than 15, Tues-Friday by calling the museum.
The exhibits include military equipment, clothing, exhibits dedicated to the 49th Armored Division, the Cold War, Global War on Terror, a WWII Pacific Theater exhibit, Artillery, a TX Navy Exhibit, 36th Infantry Div Gallery, massive collections of books, a card file for each member of the 36th Div in WWII, and WWI, many donated papers, letters and memorabilia, and more than 7000 catalogued photos. The library and archives are open via appointment for research to all members of the public.
The museum is the home to the Freedom Train car for TX.
Opening hours: Tuesday – Sunday 10am to 4pm (closed Monday)
