This huge, enchanting sculpture of a mother panda cradling her child was presented in September 1996 from Chendgu Municipal Government, P.R. China, and Mayor Wang Rong Xuan to the city of Phoenix, Arizona.
Title, "Maternal Love," the bronze sculpture was donated by Phoenix sister city Chengdu, China, and Mayor Wang Rong Xuan. Maternal Love depicts a mother panda gently cradling her offspring.
