Though the Elks of Canada was founded in 1912, this lodge came along a bit later, in 1920 to be precise. The first and second Sunday of every month they host a cribbage tournament and every Friday they host supper, available to everyone for $9.00. After every supper they have a "mini meat draw", in which one can win, well, meat. If one fails to win meat on Friday, they have another chance every third Sunday of the month at 2pm, when a "mega meat draw" is held. We're guessing that "mega" here means even more meat.
While cruising down 32nd Avenue, this Elks Lodge becomes easy to find by watching for the large mural of carriages with the large words "Agricultural Implements" across the top. It is one of the 27 large murals in the downtown area.
