Pattison cemetery is the main burial ground for the town of Pattison in rural Waller County, Texas. It is situated on land donated by George Pattison (a descendant of one of the early settlers) back in 1889 and contains approximately 750 burial plots.
A series of 3 WOW monuments can be found right next to the tombstone of Stacye Ann Marlin Morgan, daughter of settler James Marlin and survivor of the famous Morgan Massacre: on Jan 1st, 1839, Indians killed and scalped several members of the Morgan and Marlin families. Isaac Marlin, 10, ran 7 miles for help. His sister, Stacye Ann, was severely wounded and left by the Indians for dead. She apparently recovered, eventually married William J. Morgan, and brought up a large family.
This gravesite is that of William James "Bud" Morgan, one of Stacey's sons. His headstone monument includes the standard WOW seal at the crest, and his inscription reads:
