Missouri K. Burton, born 21 September 1878, was separated from her husband, Albert Burton at the time of his death in 1955, which was a bit more unusual back then. She passed away on 14 January 1979, about 100 and a quarter years old. Neither FindAGrave nor a web search produced other biographical material on Mrs. Burton.

The year that Missouri was born, the first phone exchanges were established in several large cities, and Edison patented the gramophone (phonograph). The year that Missouri died, the first spreadsheet program - VisiCalc - was available, and Sony introduced their Walkman
