[FR] Le bâtiment voyageurs de la gare fut reconstruit dans un style prestigieux pour l’Exposition Universelle de 1900 par l’architecte Juste Lisch, également auteur de la gare Saint-Lazare et de la gare des Invalides. Le bâtiment, du moins ce qui en est visible en surface, semble n'avoir pas changé depuis plus de 100 ans.
La ligne d'Auteuil et ses gares ont été construites à l'initiative des frères Pereire, qui avaient déjà réalisé la ligne de Saint-Germain-en-Laye ; elles sont mises en service par la compagnie des chemins de fer de l'Ouest le 2 mai 1854.
En 1855, la ligne passe sous le contrôle de la Compagnie des chemins de fer de l'Ouest. En 1867, elle est incorporée dans la ligne de Petite Ceinture.
Aujourd'hui, la gare est desservie par les trains de la ligne C du RER d'Île-de-France.
[EN] The station building was reconstructed by the architect Juste Lisch in a prestigious style for the Universal Exposition of 1900.
The Auteuil line and its stations were constructed by the Pereire brothers. It was put into service by the Compagnie des Chemins de Fer de l'Ouest on May 2, 1854.
In 1867, the line was incorporated into the Petite Ceinture line.
Today, the station services the RER line C.
