Afin de résoudre des problèmes de insalubrité de l'eau, la ville de Saint-Hyacinthe entame la construction d'un réservoir neuf sur un terrain situé encore plus en amont de la rivière. Cet édifice, que l'on peut toujours voir aujourd'hui est inauguré en 1897. La partie centrale supporte une corniche crénelée et l'entrée est soulignée par une avance verticales couronnées d'une toiture décorative en pavillon.
To resolve unsafe water problems, the city of Saint-Hyacinthe began construction of a new reservoir on land located further upstream of the river. This building, which can still be seen today was inaugurated in 1897. The central part supports an embattled cornice and entry is highlighted by a vertical advance crowned with a decorative roof pavilion.
