The Orientation Table on the hill above the enclosed harbour points to various places of interest. Some of the places are close, within the township below the Lookout, e.g. churches, hospitals and schools. But other places are further afield like Benmore Power Station 53 miles away.
The compass is etched into the granite stone face.
The Oamaru Lookout Point is accessed from the end of Tamar Street, with ample parking available.
