As described by the Coast and Geodetic Survey ("CGS") in 1933:

"0.5 MI SE FROM KINGSLAND. 0.5 MILES SOUTHEAST OF KINGSLAND ON T AND N O RAILROAD. IN NORTHWEST CORNER OF WEST ABUTMENT OF BRIDGE THAT CROSSES THE COLORADO RIVER ABOUT 9 FEET NORTH OF CENTERLINE OF TRACK. TEN INCHES FROM ADJACENT EDGES."

The CGS description is pretty accurate and should definitely assist future seekers in finding this benchmark -- alternatively, one can use the gallery images (including one where the benchmark has been "highlighted" with a pink oval for ease of reference).

The CGS' original 1933 coordinates, however, were a little off (as is to be expected, it happens all the time with older benchmarks). The CGS reported it at "N 30 39.450 W 098 25.800" which points to some location ~90 ft SE away, somewhere on the river and not the benchmark in question. Likewise, the most recent associated NGS Data Sheet reports it as "N 30 39 27.2 W 098 25 48.4" (i.e. "N 30 39.453 W 98° 25.807"), which is still off by some 60ft or so. The actual coords -- as measured within 10' accuracy and 20+ reading averages -- are "N 30 39.464 W 098 25.808".

Below are some additional facts, per the NGS database (with some editing for length): (visit link) . This NGS Database link apparently also includes some photographs of the BM in question, which I personally took on Aug 15th, 2014 while visiting this benchmark.
