The Carmichael Recreation and Park district has assumed responsibility for the gardens and have a night gate on the entrance. The Daughters of the American Revolution have built and dedicated the sensory garden in memory of a former member.
Spring is the prettiest time to see it, but the walkways need more gravel in the recent rain.
Mr. Jensen was a WWI pilot trainer.
The garden is in a draw and contains coast redwoods, Japanese maple, many flowering bulbs, and signs naming the plants in the different beds.
