"This is the fifteenth century Grade II timber framed gatehouse to Archdeacon Pykenham's residence. The Ipswich Building Preservation Trust carried out a major restoration project in 1982-3. The original staircase was discovered during this work. The building is the headquarters of The Trust and local Civic Society and details of their work is on show "
