The FindAGrave entry incorrectly identifies Mr. Thompson as "C. A.", though the extension of the letter G is unmistakable when you are close to the marker. Little is known of Mr. Thompson except that he was born on 9 December 1863 and lived until 1 March 1918, only 55 years. He was born during the US Civil War and died near the end of World War I.
