Die Christuskirche wurde am 31. Januar 1965 nach dreijähriger Bauzeit eingeweiht. (Baubeginn war am 17. März 1962.) Sie wurde komplett durch Gemeindemitglieder erbaut. Am 1. Februar 2015 wurde der 50. Geburtstag der Kirche gefeiert.
In der Gemeinde gibt es u.a. einen Singkreis, Chor, Posaunenchor, Bibelgesprächskreis, Jungschar usw.
In Deutschland gehören rund 64.000 Menschen dieser Freikirche an. Weltweit gehören mehr als 10 Millionen Christen zur internationalen United Methodist Church (UMC), deren deutscher Zweig die Evangelisch-methodistischen Kirche ist.

This church is called Christuskirche and was inaugurated on 31 January 1965 after three years construction time. Construction was completely done by the parishioners. On 1 February 2015 the 50. birthday of the church was celebrated.
The community offers choires, trombone choir, Bible study groups, Youth Organizsation and so on.
In Germany about 64,000 people belong to this church. Worldwide more than 10 million people belong to the United Methodist Church (UMC), of which the Evangelisch-methodistische Kirche the German branch is.
