The Log Barn is a pretty cool place to pick up a few of one's staples, or even the afternoon's lunch. Arrayed in front of the main building and around the parking lot are a number of anomalous displays. They run the gamut from dinosaur sculptures to an overhead goat walk, in which goats climb to the top and use a pulley system to raise cups of corn from ground level. You can feed the goats for only a quarter.

There are wagons, agricultural implements, trucks, tractors, a pond full of geese and ducks, and even a dragon. On the grounds are picnic tables for a quiet picnic among the dinosaurs.

Then of course there is the food. Mennonite sausage is one of our favourite types of sausage and the cheese sold here is made in Armstrong in a cheese factory that has been in business since 1902. If one can't find enough within to sate one's sweet tooth, then they're simply not trying hard enough.
