Hike cross country 0.5 mile S from T16S R9E S24 25 R10E S19 30 COR (WAYMARK WMNBBN) to the corner.
Type of survey mark: 2-1/2" brass cap on steel pipe in mound of stones; rising 6"

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The corner is in a dense patch of manzanita, 60' NE from the centerline of FR1628-112, and about 0.1 mile WNW from where the road crosses Three Creek. About 40' S of the corner is a 4x4" post with a PROPERTY BOUNDARY sign and a LOCATION POSTER. Found two ponderosa pines (one a windfall in the SE quadrant), each with partly healed blazes, a yellow BEARING TREE tag and an ATTENTION sign on the reverse side. In addition, 3' S of the corner is an orange Carsonite witness post with PROPERTY BOUNDARY and LAND SURVEY MARKER decals. Based on field measured GPS UTM grid coordinates, the present quarter corner bears S1.0°E from T16S R9E S24 R10E S19 1/4 COR (WAYMARK WMNB4R), 5253' distant.


What property is this mark defining?:
The land E of the corner is a part of Skyline Forest, presently owned by Fidelity National Timber; else Deschutes National Forest. There does not seem to be an Oregon Corner Restoration Record filed in the Deschutes County Surveyors Office.
