Der Hoherodskopf ist zwar nur der zweithöchste Berg (764 Meter) im Vogelsberg, aber sehr gut erschlossen für den Tourismus. Er ist mit Pkw oder Bus erreichbar - im Sommer fahren sogar spezielle Vulkanexpress Busse mit Fahrradanhänger den Berg hinauf. Im Sommer gibt es hier u.a. einen Kletterwald und Baumkronenpfad, Minigolf, Segelfliegen, Naturpark-Informationszentrum und eine Sommerrodelbahn. Im Winter ist Alpin-Ski an Hessens längstem Skilift möglich, weiterhin ist hier eine Flutlich-Langlaufloipe und stets viele Wander- und Radwege.

Auf dem Hoherodskopf steht auch ein Sendeturm. Früher wurde hier Fernsehen ausgestrahlt, heute nur noch Radio und ein Amateurfunkrelais.

Although the Hoherodskopf is only the second highest mountain peak in the region Vogelsberg (2507 feet), but well developed for tourism. You can reach the summit by car or bus - in summer the special bus "Vulkandexpress" offers a trailer for bicycles. In summer you can enjoy ropes course (high-wire forest adventure course), miniatur golf, gliding, information center for the nature park and a summer toboggan run. In winter you may do alpine skiing or cross-country skiing (even with floodlight) and always hiking or cycling.
