At the intersection with Hood Avenue in Sisters, turn onto Elm Street, which becomes FR16 in 0.4 miles. From the intersection, continue generally SW for 10.8 miles. Turn left onto FR1620 and continue about 2.9 miles. Bear right on FR1620-590 and continue about 0.6 miles to an unmarked junction. Travel about 0.2 mile S on FR1620-597 to the corner on the right.
Type of survey mark: 2-1/2" brass cap on steel pipe in ring of stones; flush with ground

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The corner is uphill about 140' W of the road. Found two ponderosa pines each with a healed blaze, a yellow BEARING TREE tag and an ATTENTION sign on the reverse side. In addition, there is an aluminum U-post with no attached signs and, broken over at ground level, an orange Carsonite witness post with PROPERTY BOUNDARY and LAND SURVEY MARKER decals.


What property is this mark defining?:
The land E of the corner is a part of Skyline Forest, presently owned by Fidelity National Timber; else Deschutes National Forest. See also Oregon Corner Restoration Record, Index File No. 0315, filed in the Deschutes County Surveyors Office.
