This monument to the 11th Ohio Infantry Regiment, commanded by Col. Philander P. Lane is in recognition of their service during the during the
Battle of Chickamauga, fought September 19–20, 1863. This monument marks their position at 6:30 pm on September 20, 1863. There are three monuments to the 11th Ohio Infantry Regiment on the battlefield.
