Oberlindenbrunnen is located between Salzstrasse and Herrenstrasse in the east of the old town of Freiburg. It is an octagonal stone fountain with a column in the center that has two pipes and a statue on top.
A fountain and the linden tree next to it has already been documented in 1535. The current fountain was created in 1862. In November 1944 it was heavily damaged in the bomb raids.
