Branch 98 has been around since 1928, April 12, 1928 to be precise and was originally known as the Canadian Legion of the British Empire Service League, Enderby Branch 98. The name was changed to the Royal Canadian Legion in 1959. Below is some information on the branch, from their website.
The Branch 98 Charter was issued on April 12, 1928 and was know as the Canadian Legion of the British Empire Service League, Enderby Branch 98. The branch became The Royal Canadian Legion in 1959 by Command of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II . The meetings were originally held in the building now owned by the Beebee family.
Allow us to entertain you in the "Biggest Little City" in the North Okanagan. Branch 98, "Over 80 years of Service" to Our Community.
Our lounge has many amenities. Besides a great, friendly staff we have a computer (wireless available - bring your laptop) online for members and guests to enjoy "surfing the net" setting up and/or checking e-mail, a large 60" flat big screen tv, Keno, (NOW SELF SERVE IS AVAILABLE) Pull Tabs and we do have a pool room & shuffle board also with a 25" tv and Keno tv. Be sure to check out our Events Tab for times on our special events and activities such as drop in crib, darts, pool shuffleboard and other activities at our branch.
