At the intersection with Hood Avenue in Sisters, turn onto Elm Street, which becomes FR16 in 0.4 miles. From the intersection, continue generally S for 5.9 miles. Turn left onto the new alignment of FR1610 and continue about 2.3 miles. Bear left on FR1612, Livesay Road, and continue 0.6 miles to the corner on the left.
Type of survey mark: 2-1/2" brass cap on galvanized iron pipe in a mound of stones; rising 2"

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The corner is about 270' NW from Livesay Road in the Rooster Rock burn scar. There are four stumps, sawed off chest high, each with a brass washer stamped LS 744 nailed in a partly healed, scribed blaze, a yellow BEARING TREE tag and a LAND SURVEY MONUMENT sign on the reverse side. In addition there are LAND SURVEY MONUMENT and PROPERTY BOUNDARY signs mounted on a U-post.


What property is this mark defining?:
The land W of the corner is a part of Skyline Forest, presently owned by Fidelity National Timber; else Deschutes National Forest. See also Oregon Corner Restoration Record, Index File No. 1648, filed in the Deschutes County Surveyors Office.
