Walking, as much as you want!
In the national park Drents-Friese Wold more than a 130 kilometres of footpath are at your disposal, divided into more than 30 different routes.
They are marked by pickets in different colours. These routes vary in length and are between 2 and 10 kilometres long. All these walks are also marked on the special tourist map by Staatsbosbeheer (available at the visitors' and information centre).
Along some of the footpaths small information signs give you an insight on nature's treasures along the chosen route. We would like to inform you at this stage that it can be very wet in the park in autumn and winter. It would be advisory to take this into consideration with the choice of your footwear.

Blue = 7 km
Yellow = 8 km
Green = 10 km
