The building is largely brick built with Portland stone used to complement the design. A circle of stone surrounds the clock face which is white in colour. The hour and minutes marks are pressed from a single sheet of metal that uses three rings to hold the parts together. The rings are coloured gold. The outer ring and middle ring have the minute marks between them and the middle ring and inner ring contain the hour marks. The marks are all coloured black and Roman numerals are used for the hours. The hands, also black, are a basic design.
The clock was not working.
