Rare example of a Pony Truss swing bridge, located on County Road 64 southeast of Brighton, ON. It was built in 1947, replacing an earlier 1890's vintage bridge. It was one of three swing bridges that spanned the Murray Canal. The swing bridge at Carrying Place has been replaced, and the centrally located third bridge has been completely removed.

The bridge was built in 1947 by the Central Bridge Company Ltd. of Trenton, ON. It handle two way vehicle and pedestrian traffic, but there are load restrictions in place.

The bridge has been earmarked for replacement.
