We know that this Legion has been active since at least 1947, as there is a sign on the building commemorating 50 years of service by the Ladies Auxiliary, which took place in 1997.

On the front lawn of the Legion, between the Canadian and British Columbia Flags, is a cenotaph, placed by the Legion. The cenotaph consists of a four tiered concrete plinth, the top tier taking the form of a truncated obelisk. On it are plaques on each side commemorating the First and Second World Wars and the Korean War. A larger plaque is inscribed thus:

Dedicated to the brave men and women
Who served their country
And gave their tomorrows
That we may have our todays
We will remember them
