• au parc de la Place-de-la-Famille (1300, chemin de Saint-Jean);
• à la Maison des Jeunes de La Prairie (575, rue Notre-Dame);
This new service from the Léo-Lecavalier library is based on the principle born in the United States, "I take a book, I give a book" that invites people to take a book in a repository, while replacing it with a book from their own collection.
It is possible to borrow a book at three locations where a little wooden houses built by city employees, during the opening hours of the buildings:
• The park chalet in the Park Place de la Famille (1300, chemin de Saint-Jean);
• In the Maison des Jeunes de La Prairie (575, rue Notre-Dame);
• In the Maison des Aîné(e)s de La Prairie (600 Taschereau Boulevard, 2nd floor).
Currently, these little houses are kept in working order with books that were donated to the Léo-Lecavalier library. THe library also has a book reserve for the proper working of this long-term initiative. The Laprairiens are invited to share the joy of reading while contributing to the sustainability of the project.
