Puvodne románský kostel poprvé uváden roku 1226 tvoril opevnený komplex spolu s dnešní farou (tehdejší tvrzí). Na konci 14. století byl kostel goticky prestaven. V roce 1712 byl upraven barokne. Roku 1726 byla upravena vež. Na úpravách ve stylu barokní gotiky se pravdepodobne podílela dílna J. Santiniho. Kostel byl renovován ve 30. letech 20. století.

Originally a Romanesque church was first mentioned in 1226. It formed a fortified complex together with today parish house (former fortress). At the end of the 14th century, the church was rebuilt in the Gothic style. In 1712 was modified in the Baroque style. In 1726 the tower was modified. On modifications to the Baroque-Gothic style probably contributed workshop of J. Santini. The church was renovated in the 30s of the 20th century.
