DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1946 0.4 MI S FROM WAXAHACHIE. 0.4 MILE SOUTH ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 77 FROM THE COURTHOUSE AT WAXAHACHIE, 19 FEET WEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE HIGHWAY, 1 FOOT NORTH OF THE SOUTH END OF A VIADUCT, ABOUT LEVEL WITH THE HIGHWAY. A BRONZE DISK SET IN THE TOP OF THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE SOUTH END OF A CONCRETE VIADUCT.

RECOVERY NOTE BY TOWILL INCORPORATED 1990 SOUTH OF WAXAHACHIE. FROM THE INTERSECTION OF HIGHWAY 77 - FERRIS STREET AND BUSINESS ROUTE 287 - MAIN STREET IN WAXAHACHIE, GO SOUTH ALONG HIGHWAY 77 FOR 0.38 MI (0.61 KM) TO THE STATION. THE STATION IS A USC AND GS BENCH MARK STAMPED--B 389 1946, 1 FT (0.3 M) NORTH AND 0.5 FT (0.2 M) EAST OF THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF A BRIDGE OVER WAXAHACHIE CREEK AND THE MISSOURI KANSAS TEXAS RAILROAD.
