Contreplaqué Husky fait partie du plus important groupe canadien de produits de bois décoratif. Depuis 1940 la société mère, Commonwealth Plywood récolte la ressource forestière pour alimenter ses usines de bois de sciage, placage, plancher et contreplaqué.
L'usine de Ste-Thérèse, située au nord de Montréal, au Québec (Canada), fabrique du Contreplaqué de Bois Décoratif. Cette usine fut la première du groupe, érigée en 1940. Sa vocation était de fabriquer du contreplaqué, utilisé dans la construction du bombardier britannique "Mosquito", qui participa à la Seconde Guerre mondiale.
Husky Plywood Ste-Thérèse fabrique aujourd'hui, jusqu'à 16 000 panneaux de bois décoratif par semaine. Appuyé sur une solide expérience de fabrication et un souci constant de la qualité, ils offrent une gamme impressionnante d'essences de bois, dans une multitude de grades, pouvant être laminés sur plusieurs types de centres, selon les spécifications du clients.
La cheminé fait de briques s'élève très haute et domine tout l'environnement de Ste-Thérèse et une parti de Boisbriand.
Part temps froid le nuage tout au tour de la cheminé se voie très bien et sa particularité tien qu'elle est la seul qui reste, en bonne état et qui est encore en fonction. Une partie de l'usine est de brique rouge comme la cheminé donc remonte a 1940. Les produits portes la marque Gestion forestière Responsable.
La cheminée et la compagnie font partis de l'histoire du passé et du présent de Sainte-Thérèse et a employés plusieurs thérésiens depuis 1940.

The factory Ste-Thérèse, north of Montreal, Quebec (Canada), manufactures plywood Decorative Wood. This plant was the first of the group, erected in 1940. Its purpose was to make plywood, used in the construction of the British bomber "Mosquito", who participated in the Second World War.
Husky Plywood Ste-Thérèse manufactures today to 16 000 decorative wood panels week. The fireplace made of bricks rises very high and dominates the Ste-Thérèse environment and a party Boisbriand.
