Shifnal Millennium Sensory Garden is located on Innage Road, in Shifnal. The garden is open every day and all day, and is maintained totally by volunteers.
A group was formed in 1998 to create a sensory garden to mark the Millennium, but mainly to create a public space of lasting beauty which is accessible to all those less mobile members of the community.
The garden was officially opened in May 2002.
The garden has won the following awards:
2003 The Queen's Golden Jubilee Award
2007/2008 Green Pennant Award
2012 National Garden Scheme Judges' Special Award
2013 Royal Horticultural Society and Heart of England in Bloom 'It's Your Neighbourhood Award' Level 5 OUTSTANDING.
A sculpture by the late Mrs Pat Austin, a pergola and woodland walk pathway are some of the many features in the garden.
