Trimble Cemetery is an old cemetery in rural Orange County but very near Washington County. There are around 700 interments in this cemetery, unusual for such a rural cemetery.
The cemetery is over 200 years old as it was established in 1814. It seems to be used in different eras ... one section has almost exclusively whetstone headstones. Another section has yucca bushes buried all around the headstones. Further to the back sits a number of modern headstones as well from as soon as late 2014.
To find the cemetery, turn north from Hwy 337 on N Co Rd 650 E. About a mile up is a sign for the cemetery and go back a lane about a quarter mile to the cemetery.
