[FR] À Paris, le temple de Sri Manicka Vinayakar Alayam organise depuis 1996 la fête de Ganesh. Chaque année, le temple de Ganesh de Paris organise un défilé festif consacré à Ganesh à l'occasion du jour de fête qui lui est attribué dans le calendrier hindou.
L’espace d’une journée, Ganesh, fils du grand Shiva, dieu aux quatre bras et à tête d'éléphant transforme le nord de la capitale en une véritable ville indienne.
Le dieu indien de la sagesse, de l'intelligence, de la prudence, qui préside aux écoles et protège les travailleurs du savoir est ainsi célébré autour de son temple de Sri Manicka Vinayakar Alayam.

More than 25,000 Hindus from France and all over Europe, gather in an area near the Gare du Nord in Paris known as "Little Jaffna" at the end of summer to celebrate the annual Ganesh festival. Hindus pray and make offerings to the half-elephant half-child deity Ganesh so it will offer its benediction and protection to believers. The festival is organised by the Sri Manicka Vinayakar Alayam temple, founded and run by members of the Tamil community. The festival has grown to become the largest in Europe partly because of the community's unfailing belief in Ganesh's power to solve their problems.
