This old school was erected between 1907 and 1908.
1911 the first pupils did there A levels.
1917 the school was named "Hindenburg-Gymnasium".
And from 1924 to 1932 the building was also the home of a part of the local museum.
1966 Leibniz-Gymnasium was founded and from that time it is a public school.
