This Cut Mark is on the parapet of a small aqueduct which carries The Leeds Liverpool Canal over a small stream called Knuzden Brook.

The canal is 127.25 miles long and flows from the inland woollen town of Leeds to the coastal sea port of Liverpool, crossing the Pennines along the way. Work on the canal started in 1770 and built in a number of sections and was finally completed in 1816.
The cut mark is rather faded on the southern end of the aqueduct.
Many bridges on the canal have cut marks or bolts on them and most are on the OS website. However some including this one are not.
