A selection of paintings by John Constable from around the church of St Mary the Virgin in East Bergholt, Suffolk. Although every effort was taken to capture the images as portrayed in the artists pictures, sometimes they looked better on the LCD screen of the camera than when compared directly. It also seems that Mr Constable exercised a little artistic licence when painting, as sometimes the nearest approximation is obscured by trees or other obstacles, and a step or two to the side is rquired.
