Brown's Mount is a 189-acre limestone-capped mount that rises 500 feet above the Ocmulgee River basin just south of the City of Macon, Georgia.A short hiking trail (half mile) leads to a scenic overlook of the Macon skyline. A longer trail circles the summit, leading to rock formations, cliffs, and views of the forest below the mount.

The property was purchased in 1938 by Myrtle Simmons who farmed the land until her husband died and then she sold the property to the Macon Museum of Arts and Science in 1993. This former homestead, farm, and poet's retreat is now a nature study area. It forms the northeast boundary of Bond Swamp National Wildlife Refuge and is managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
