and the Museum placard adds that "According to legend, the seven stars of the Big Dipper (Ursa Major) constellation were born from lotus flowers that grew in a pond while she, a virtuous queen, was bathing and felt the movement of the Dao. Seated on a lotus pedestal, she holds the sun and the moon in her upmost pair of hands."
