This marker popped up in the middle of nondescript retail strip centers and banks in Atoka, at the site of what once was St Patrick's Catholic Church.
The marker reads as follows:
"Oklahoma's First Catholic Church
St. Patrick's Church was built in 1872. Father Isidore Robot was 1st resident priest and 1st Prefect Apostolic of Ind. Ter., and founded Sacred Heart Mission west of Atoka."
