Built in 1858, officially closed in 1967, and moved to it's current location a few years later, this old train station now serves as the Gilbert Train Museum open to the public on the first Sunday of each month from 2pm-5pm. Inside you will find a vast history of Gilbert, SC train history and restored caboose outside the museum along with other train artifacts. There is also a playground for the kids behind this old train museum.
