This bench is dedicated to Bill MacDonald. It is located on the Merkel trail in Usery Mountain Regional Park in Mesa Arizona. Usery Mountain Park is a 3648 acre park in the Goldfield mountains in the upper sonoran desert zone. Merkel trail is a one mile trail that circles Merkel mountain.
The bench is of recycled wood and plastic fiber. It faces east and commemorates Bill MacDonald and his love of the Sonoran Desert. Bill lived from 1937 to 2014.
