Osa is the northeast-most community in Barry County, Missouri. Although the church here is known as the Hilton Union Church (the Hilton and Osa families were both early settlers), the churchyard cemetery is named Osa. According to FindAGrave, at the time of this waymark posting there were 736 interments at Osa Cemetery, the latest was in 2014, and there were 3 centenarians. Although some of the oldest graves do not have dates, the oldest recorded grave is from 1852. (There is a record for a duplicate name that records an earlier date, but it is clearly in error, both in date and in being a duplicate!)
