An extensive web search for this church turned up no useful information (just the usual thousand "locator" type web sites). The sign above the door says:

1910

The church is in excellent condition, has electricity to it, and a heating and cooling unit; so it is clearly in use. Whether it is used weekly or just for funerals is unknown. I welcome comments from visitors to update this waymark.

The Osa community is the northeast-most community in Barry County. A search within the Barry County MoGenWeb site for Osa produces many hits mentioning the community, but no information on its establishment.

Though the church is named Hilton, the churchyard cemetery is known as the Osa Cemetery. A union church had no fixed denomination, but had a round-robin schedule of pastors from various (mostly protestant) faiths speak each week.

Since the church does not have a street sign with church times, a visit does not require a photo of the non-existent sign. But two photos from different angles would be nice.

Church Name: Hilton Union Church
