The Shaw Mausoleum at Fort Smith's wonderful Oak Cemetery is striking for the elegant punched-metal decorations on the door to the tomb.
History:
The Shaw family were early settlers in Fort Smith. Eventually they were able to become prosperous citizens. Their family home, the Tillman Shaw Home, is on the US National Register of Historic Places. Several Shaw family members are interred in the mausoleum and the family plot surrounding the mausoleum.
