The Tourist Information UK website tells us:

The building that once housed the London Planetarium in Marylebone Road, near Baker Street is now part of Madame Tussauds and is no longer related to astronomy.

The brand new Peter Harrison Planetarium is a state-of-the-art planetarium at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich. It is the centrepiece of the Royal Observatory's recent redevelopment project and is the only planetarium in London.

A variety of stunning astronomy related films are shown on the new digital laser planetarium projector giving the audience a chance to view the earth and the solar system from space and explore the stars and galaxies of our universe.

You are advised to book your tickets before your visit to avoid disappointment.

The Royal Museums Greenwich website [visit link] tells us:

Think of a planetarium as a tour bus of the Universe taking you on amazing journeys to explore and experience the wonders of the night sky. Combining real images from spacecraft and telescopes with advanced CGI, all projected onto a fully immersive dome, the planetarium can fly you into the heart of the Sun, transport you to distant galaxies, show you the birth of a star or land you on Mars.

The Peter Harrison Planetarium at the Royal Observatory, Greenwich is now London’s only planetarium, and features state-of-the-art HD projection technology, visualisations based on real scientific data and real astronomers.

New shows throughout the day – now better and brighter than ever. Experience a spectacular journey across the Universe at the Peter Harrison Planetarium.

The Royal Greenwich website [visit link] further tells us:

The Peter Harrison Planetarium at the Royal Observatory, Greenwich is now London's only planetarium, and features state-of-the-art HD projection technology, exciting visualisations based on real scientific data and real astronomers as narrators.

Combining real images from spacecraft and telescopes with advanced Computer Generated Imaging (CGI), all projected onto a fully immersive dome, the planetarium can fly you into the heart of the Sun, transport you to distant galaxies, show you the birth of a star or land you on Mars. Astronomers from the Royal Observatory narrate for many of the shows which change throughout the day.

The planetarium is fully accessible via a lift. Mobility scooters may be too large for lift access, and visitors are requested to approach a member of staff on duty for assistance. Booking is recommended for people on wheelchairs and mobility scooters.
