Der har været flere kirker på Mandø. Den ældste man med sikkerhed kender til blev bygget i 1350. I 1634 lagde en enorm stormflod store dele af øen under vand og den daværende kirke blev ødelagt. I 1639 blev den nuværende kirke bygget i selve Mandø by. I 1727 blev kirken restaureret og året efter blev våbenhuset bygget til. I 2003 blev kirken igen gennemgående restaureret. Kirken rummer plads til ca. 100 mennesker hvilket er 3 gange så mange, som der bor på øen. Der er 1-2 gudstjenester om måneden. Da jeg besøgte kirken på en hverdag var den åben. Jeg vil tro den står åben det meste af tiden. Klokkeslet for gudstjener varierer.

There has been several churces on Mandø. The oldest known was built in 1350. In 1634 an enormous storm surge flooded large parts of the island and destroyed the church. In 1639 the present church was built in the village Mandø. In 1727 the church was restored and one year later the porch was built. In 2003 a thorough restoration was made. The church has place for about 100 people which is about 3 times as many as living on the island. The church has 1 to 2 services per month. When I visited the church it was open. I guess it is open most of the time. Time for services varies but mostly 11.30 AM
