Though this recycling depot is on Main Street, it is toward the far western edge of the city of Merritt. Go figure.

We discovered this recycling depot quite by accident while still getting over the surprise of finding "Main Street" so far from the madding crowd, about five blocks west of downtown Merritt. The depot has a nicer than usual sign, complete with planter and flowers. Accepted here are the normal "Blue Bag" items:
all paper and cardboard, tin cans, plastics number 1 to 7 and aluminum. There are a couple of large dumpsters on the site into which to separate one's recyclables.
