In South Kingstown, on the main campus of the University of Rhode Island, is this sculpture, called Torsion III, outside Lippitt Hall.

The sculpture is located west of the main road Upper College Road, which connects to RI Route 138. We parked at a public lot east of the Fine Arts Building. Stay north of the quad and walk west by Lippitt Hall to the sculpture on the right.

The sculpture is a bronze piece with several curling features and a kind of scaly surface. When I first looked at it, from my view, the sculpture vaguely looked like a ram's horn (the mascot is the rams), but in another direction, it definitely is not.

An article found stated that the sculpture was installed on September 10, 2009. Jamestown, RI, artist, Peter Diepenbrock, designed and built the sculpture.
