The Coomies Walk is best done in an anti clockwise direction as you will descend the steeper parts & walk up a gradual incline at the beginning.
Lookdown is 250 metres of Coomies Walk & about a third of the way along this 9 kilometre walk. It is atop the Beecroft Headland & very dangerous so take extreme care. There are no fences & the cliffs very high. There are views of the ocean below & craggy cliffs. Mermaids Inlet is just to the north & is one of the few places in the world you can fish for marlin off the rocks, so deep is the water.
