St. Gregory Abbey is a small cemetery on the south side of the chapel on the campus of St. Gregory Catholic University. The cemetery contains 97 burial sites, each with an identical concrete Benedictine cross, with the word PAX (peace). The name of the person is engraved on a bronze plaque at the base.
The burials appear to range from 1950 to 2014. Some are headstones for Benedictine monks associated with this Order, and others appear to be non-clergy who served as "oblates" dedicated to the Order of St. Benedict.
This small area is openly accessed by anyone on the campus. At the far east end is a large bronze plaque which lists the names of those Benedictine monks from this monastery who were buried at other locations.
